MICRO COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY has been established since 1989 at Pandalam (Anjus bldg, opp NSS college) Pathanamthitta dist. in Kerala, under the proprietorship of Mr.Vijayakumar  T D, an entrepreneur and industrialist with a vast 26 years exposure to the field.

Humble beginning was by conducting “Self Employment Training Programme in Electronics” in view to prop up skilled individuals servicing audio and video consumer electronics equipments. We, now cherish highlighting that, most of our prior students are either self employed, or employed in India and abroad in the related field itself.

Focussed on the vision to diversify, the institute set up its computer education division in the year 1993. A permanent affiliation from National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) under DGET Govt of India (Order No. DGET 6/11/26/96 TC dated 23/1/1996) in the computer Operator & Programming Assistant Trade in the year 1996, speaks out the institute’s success chronicle.

 

The institute has been successfully conducting different job oriented corporate training programmes sponsored by the  District panchayath, Block panchayath, Grama panchayath and SC Development Department in Electronics, Computer Software and Hardware field. Since 2001, the Institute is an authorized training centre for ECIL-Computer Education Division of Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. which is a Govt. of India Enterprise under ministry of Atomic Energy. The institute has been conducting various job oriented training programmes in association with SEPTI Thiruvalla, now it is known as MSMETI, Thiruvalla Govt of India (Under Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprise). Even many other job oriented technical courses are been conducted by our institution.
 
In the year 2005 we were granted affiliation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala as an Off-Campus Academic Centre for conducting Degree and Post Graduate courses in management and computer science. . We are prepared to assist with ample placements for meritorious students. The institute’s placement division functions with a social commitment towards the aspirants.
