It was a momentous occasion in July 2017 when MicroTech became the only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business&nbsp;(SDVOSB) among &#8211; then 10 awardees.&nbsp; We now celebrate the next EIS milestone \u2013 the completion of functional testing of our Business Support System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is one of the most important contracts to come out of the Federal Government in decades and we are excited to be a part of this important transition for&nbsp;so many&nbsp;federal&nbsp;agencies and organizations,\u201d said Tony Jimenez, Founder, Chairman and CEO of MicroTech.&nbsp;As one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;ten&nbsp;original&nbsp;awardees, MicroTech has the distinction of&nbsp;not only&nbsp;being only&nbsp;SDVOSB awardee on the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract,&nbsp;MicroTech is one of only three small businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EIS is a comprehensive solution-based vehicle to address all aspects of federal agency information technology, telecommunications, and infrastructure requirements, and is at the heart of GSA\u2019s Telecommunications Portfolio. EIS replaces 93 separate Networx, Regional Local Telecommunications Services (LSAs) and Washington Interagency Telecommunications System (WITS) contracts and offers telecoms, IT and network services to agencies for 15 years, via a five-year base period and two five-year options.
